Bachata Heightz
Cinco talentosos jóvenes nacidos y criados en Washington Heights en la
ciudad de Nueva York componen el grupo Bachata Heightz. Este fenomeno
comenzó hace ocho años como un pasatiempo para mantenerse alejados de
las calles y explorar su pasión musical, convirtiéndose en uno de los
grupos más influyentes en el mercado hispano. El grupo ha sido uno de
los primeros pioneros de lo que hoy conocemos como ‘estilo urbano’ en
el género de la bachata, con influencias como el hip hop, r & b y
rock, así como también grandes influencias del ambiente en donde
vivieron. Las vivencias en las calles de Nueva York y las influencias
de su crianza latina se suman a los sonidos tropicales y sentimentales
del grupo Bachata Heightz.
El grupo está compuesto por cinco miembros de la misma familia que
son: Jay Heightz (cantante principal/compositor), Phenomenom (primera
guitarra), Dee Major (bajo), Santo (primera voz) y J-ru (coro/hype
man). El grupo ha dado a conocer su trabajo alrededor del mundo
incluyendo Estados Unidos, Centroamérica y Europa a través del
internet.
En el año 2008 el grupo consiguió su gran oportunidad y fue firmado
por Nu Life Entertainment, un sello independiente en desarrollo.
Actualmente el grupo se ha estado destacando con dos de sus canciones:
“Me Puedo Matar” featuring El Torito y “No Sabes Del Amor”. El fuerte
de este grupo es su fuerte estilo de mercadeo en las calles, creando
así una respuesta inmensa a través de escenas de la vida nocturna y
campañas virales de internet (internet viral campaigns). Continuando
con su exposición “estilo callejero” serán presentados como el único
grupo de bachata en el muy esperado CD “Los Invasores” que recopila
nueva música de jóvenes artistas como el sensacional grupo de salsa
NKLABE y los merengueros Zone D’Tambora (ZDT) en sus respectivos
géneros musicales.
Para el próximo año el grupo planifica sacar a la venta su tan
esperado álbum, el cual será algo totalmente diferente, con elementos
musicales nunca antes escuchados. Para escuchar nueva música, nuevos
